What’s The What This Wednesday

I honestly have no time for tomfoolery this evening as I just completed a full day of work at my big girl job and am now off to a blog training, followed by a rehearsal, followed by more blogging, so take a look and figure out what in the hell you want to do this Hump Day! (Premenstrualsaurus Rex out!)

Wednesdays mean open mic night over at Slainte in Portland where local musicians showcase their original songs from 8 to 10. So if you’re looking to either play some new tunes or simply take some in, then head on down tonight for good music, good times and good people.

Local folk-rock artist Brian Patricks will be playing a handful of original tunes coupled with classics that everyone knows and loves over at RiRa on Commercial Street in Portland this evening. Patricks begins his set right around 8:30pm.

The Clash of the Titans has been heating up these past couple of weeks and things aren’t cooling off anytime soon as tonight the weekly event invites you to take a very pastel walk down memory lane as yacht rockers Lionel Richie and Kenney Loggins duke it out on stage.  Shine up those dancing shoes and get ready to cut loose all night long beginning at 9 o’clock upstairs at Empire Dine and Dance.

It’s going to get rhymetastic over at The Big Easy in Portland tonight where another installment of Rap Night goes down starting at 9 o’clock this evening.  Every Wednesday at Rap Night is always a helluva time and wicked cheap, dude; $3 at the door gets your ass in to one epic party featuring some of local hip-hops heaviest hitters, so check it out.

About thenunz

Known as "The Nunz," I'm a musician from Portland, Maine with an unabashed love for this city and its music scene. I can be found around town at local shows, performing with any variety of local acts or hosting "Cover to Cover" at The Big Easy. I love a good taco, George Harrison, and stupid cat videos.
